About Loretta Hickman
Loretta is an education consultant and advisor with over 15 years of experience as classroom teacher, school leader, instructional coach, curriculum implementation partner, and non-profit director. Loretta began career as an elementary school teacher in New York and taught for six years in a variety of general and special education settings. As an Academic Director and Principal she led her teams to implement new curriculum and teaching strategies to provide all learners with access to grade-level materials.
She launched L. Hickman Education Consulting in 2023 to expand her impact and serve students throughout the country. As a consultant and coach, she guides school and district leaders to leverage high-quality instructional materials to improve student achievement. Her partnerships equip teams with the resources and skills to create learning environments where all students thrive. In all of her work Loretta empowers educators and leaders to pursue educational equity and excellence.
