Teacher and leader coaching is offered to individuals or leadership teams on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. to support the development of instructional staff. The sessions are designed to build the knowledge, skills, and habits necessary to improve literacy and math teaching and learning. Coaching goals and schedules are individualized and rooted in schools goals and student needs. 

Teacher and leader coaching includes:

• Understanding personal and team strengths and how to leverage them 
• Setting goals to build instructional and/or leadership skills and practices 
• Identifying curriculum and mission-aligned observation tools and strategies
• Observing curriculum implementation across all instructional settings 
• Planning, modeling, and debriefing classroom observation and feedback 
• Modeling and facilitating data analysis

Learning walks are offered on monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly intervals to monitor progress towards goals for improving instruction. The classroom observations and discussions that take place during learning walks are designed celebrate strengths and identify high leverage areas for improvement. Learning walks are focused on specific aspects of of instruction and curriculum implementation. 

Learning walks include: 

• Setting a vision for excellent instruction based on components of high-quality curriculum, grade-level standards, and observation tools
• Practice using scheduling and note-taking strategies to maximize the efficiency of leaders' time in the classroom 
• Analysis of student and teacher interactions and classroom structures and routines that impact teaching and learning 
• Discussion of strengths and areas for improvement at the the teacher, grade, school, and/or district level
• Report of findings to share with staff, leadership team, and/or other stakeholders

Strategic planning support is offered to individual leaders and leadership teams on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis. The sessions are designed to accelerate progress towards school and district goals  and action planning efforts. Strategic planning is most effective when paired with 3 or more learning walks throughout the school year. 

Strategic planning includes: 

• Strengths and needs assessment focused on curriculum implementation 
• Building a shared vision of excellent and equitable literacy and math instruction 
• Developing annual action plan(s) including progress monitoring activities
• Observing curriculum implementation and teacher/leader planning 
• Student data analysis to identify trends and areas to increase equitable achievement
• Beginning, middle, and end of year reports detailing progress towards our partnership goals
